Hello, my name is Sharon Morrissey.

I am here to support you in determining your outcomes for conflicts you may be experiencing in the workplace, family, or within yourself.

I am a mediator; my life and work have brought me here, with you now.

Communication, mediation, and conflict management are my passions.

I have experienced relationship breakdowns in all areas of my life and have experienced firsthand where and how mediation can make real, sustainable changes internally and externally

I refer to mediation as "game-changing and life-saving." I use mediation every day to support the outcomes I wish to achieve.

Sharon Morrissey Mediation and Negotiation Services Mission Statement.

At Sharon Morrissey Mediation and Negotiation Services, our mission is to turn conflict into constructive outcomes through compassionate, confidential and person-centred self-determining mediation and negotiation support.

We empower individuals and organisations to communicate effectively, make informed decisions, and reach respectful, sustainable agreements that strengthen relationships and promote lasting resolution.

30 years of experience working with children, families, businesses and individuals experiencing conflict.

The mediation service I provide supports individuals in establishing, at a minimum, a workable relationship when ongoing contact is necessary — such as in co-parenting, family, or workplace situations. I believe that for conflict to be resolved in a meaningful and lasting way, it must be explored within the broader systems in which it exists.

In some circumstances, maintaining a relationship is neither possible nor appropriate. Depending on the context, this can bring a sense of relief, grief, or sometimes both. Every person who attends mediation with me is supported in a bespoke and confidential manner. Just as no two businesses are the same, no two people are the same.

Each individual is met with compassion, care, and respect, and supported to move at a pace and follow a process that feels right for them.

The loss of a relationship, even a complex one, can bring deep pain and grief.

Equally, there can be guilt in feeling relief or even joy at its ending. Both experiences are valid and acknowledged within the mediation process.

What is Mediation

Mediation is a process whereby an independent, neutral and impartial third party facilitates people experiencing conflict to find self-determining outcomes to their issues. Mediation is a voluntary process, which means whoever attends mediation will attend because it is their choice to do so.

Mediation is a confidential process (*with exceptions*). These exceptions will be discussed with you in detail before the mediation process begins.

PODCAST and BLOGS

Sharon Morrissey Mediation Services has a podcast.

Hello and welcome to this space where we will learn what mediation is, how it supports people with all kinds of life issues, and have some craic along the way. (Mostly, me making fun of myself!)
It is also my hope that people who have experienced mediation and these do not always have to be good stories, will join me in explaining what worked and what didn't.
I would love this to be an honest space where we learn together and share experiences, confidentially and respectfully.
Mediation is a passion for me and I am blessed to do what I love, and thankful to the people who trust me.

Reviews and Media.

"When one looks at the work Morrissey is doing as a practitioner in the family breakdown sector, it is clear that this book is a weapon designed from her experience. A weapon that she hopes will help jolt those who come in contact with the industry into an appropriate choice of forum for resolving their dispute. This forum would best place the needs of affected children at the center of any necessary conversation.  If introduced to a separating family, this book could do more for that family than the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.  Powerful.”  (Paul Pierse, Solicitor with LAB, Cork)

There are no words to describe the incredible professional Sharon is. I had the opportunity to be, in the first moment, her student, and to acquire deep knowledge about Mediation and, in the second moment, to work directly under her guidance. Sharon has a unique way of understanding people's feelings and expressing them accurately. Her technique for managing conflicts and cutting lasting agreements is really remarkable. I am happy to have the opportunity to study and work with her.
